About Our Church
We are CITY ON THE HILL, a newly re-envisioned faith community officially launching this October! We are group of believers who are on a journey to discover and live out their purpose. We are committed to shining the light of Christ in our community and helping others find the hope, freedom, and restoration we have found in Jesus. We’re excited to begin this journey and invite you to be part of our story as we grow together.
We are a diverse, muli-generational, group of Bible believers that is honored to be a part of the global church, as well as a local body of the Wesleyan Church.
Our Mission is to glorify God together, and shine the light of Christ that leads people into hope, freedom, and restoration!
Worship & Connect
Worship with us! We gather together on Sunday mornings for worship service at 10:30 a.m. Our service is welcoming and relaxed, we want you to feel like you’ve just come home. Service features a time of prayer, music, and a Bible centered message. Our service style is casual and contemporary style.
Spark Kids’ Ministry is offered during Sunday service to give your children fun, hands on Bible learning. Kids head downstairs to our family center after the worship portion of the service. Every 1st Sunday of the month, kids are welcome to stay in the main service and there is no Spark Kids. This gives our Kids’ leaders an opportunity to reset and join us for communion.
We celebrate Communion together on the first Sunday of every month. Children are invited to stay in main service with their families on that Sunday, so that all who wish to do so, can participate.
Baptisms are planned for the third Sunday of the month, but may be arranged for at anytime!
LEARN & GROW
12:2 Blocks are our small groups, and leaders are gearing up for fall small groups now! Our small groups, may vary by age, interest, or topic, and offer a chance to connect and grow in community. Find friendship, hope, and healing by joining one of our small groups..
SERVE TOGETHER
Serve the City offers quarterly service opportunities to serve our community together, a gather and game night for all ages, and other chances for people to gather, serve, and grow together. We’re excited to begin this journey, and invite you to be a part of our story as we grow together.
About Our Pastoral Family
Pastor Faith (Ramos) Cornell was born and raised, right here in Zanesville, Ohio and began attending church as a guest of faithful members of South Zanesville Wesleyan and Grace Wesleyan Church. She became a follower of Jesus at a young age, and began to sense the Lord’s call as a teenager.
Faith began to fully pursue her call in 2016 with an education in Leadership and Ministry at Ohio Christian University, graduating with her Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Organizational Leadership. She was installed as Pastor in October of 2025, and is currently part of Ministerial Cohort through the Greater Ohio Wesleyan District in pursuit of ordination. Her passion is helping people connect to God through hearing and understanding His Word, so that they may discover the hope, identity, purpose and restoration found only in Christ.
Raised at Grace, she met and married her partner in life & ministry – Brandon, in the church, too. They have 3 beautiful children: Estevan (who leads worship), Marques, and Ella, and one good dog: Moses.
Brandon is an insurance agent, and considers it more than a job to help seniors find and understand what they need. But he is also a Christian hip-hop artist, and percussionist who ministers through music and that has led Brandon & Faith to minister in many different contexts over the years, from outreach concerts and youth nights, to street ministries, and even Sunday services. Faith is an artist and designer who began to fully pursue her call in 2016 with an education in Leadership and Ministry at Ohio Christian University
The two have founded a nonprofit with friends in 2021 called Goodcity Creatives – to share their love for the arts and the good news, and advance social justice through providing educational and career boosting learning opportunities that teach creative skills to underserved youth and emerging creatives in our community.
They are excited to build the Father’s Kingdom at the top of Pine Street together!
